He mixes traditional gospel music with elements of world music from Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, soul, RnB and pop.

With his group Riversongz, he sold out Indigo2 at the O2 in London and he is the first gospel act to do so. He has presented the TURNING POINT programme to an estimated global audience of 70 million.

He is the first international act to perform on BET channel for the CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL show.

Muyiwa Olarenwaju is 51 years old. He is a British gospel singer and songwriter of Nigerian parentage. His father was a headmaster and his mom a radio broadcaster. His father was killed for renouncing his Muslim faith and becoming a Christian. His parents sent him to the UK at the age of 9.

In 2020, he was appointed OFFICER OF THE THE ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE (OBE) for his services to music. In an interview with womanalive.co.uk, he said his OBE comes with a sense of responsibility as much as he is grateful and estatic.

An old lecturer once told him that no one was paying attention to the gospel genre. However, over the years, his success in gospel music has earned him and his craft, global recognition and accolades.
